Looking for Mid-Autumn gifts from across Taichung without searching everywhere! The Agriculture Bureau of Taichung City Government is launching the “Taichung Freshest Mid-Autumn Gifts” campaign from August 25 to September 28. Centered on the Taichung Freshest e-commerce platform, the campaign brings together seasonal fresh fruits, processed agricultural products, tea products, alcoholic beverages, and specialty gifts from Taichung’s mountain, coastal, and Tun area production regions, creating a Mid-Autumn online gift section. Consumers across Taiwan can browse and buy specialty gifts from different parts of Taichung in one place, sharing the city’s local flavors and producers’ care nationwide.

The Agriculture Bureau said Taichung has diverse agricultural resources, with each production area offering its own signature agricultural specialties and local gifts. This Mid-Autumn campaign is built around the idea of “sharing the best of Taichung with the people who matter most”. Through the Taichung Freshest e-commerce platform, quality products that were once spread across different production areas and sales channels are brought together in one place. Consumers no longer need to visit each area one by one, and can quickly choose gifts by recipient, product type, and budget, meeting the needs of friends, families, businesses, government agencies, and group buyers.
The “Taichung Freshest Mid-Autumn Gifts” section features selected specialties from Taichung’s production areas, including seasonal fresh fruits such as Taichung quality pears, processed agricultural products, tea products, alcoholic beverages, and festive gifts. By selecting products across regions and integrating them on a digital platform, consumers can discover specialty agricultural products from different parts of Taichung through one entry point, while local farmers, farmers’ associations, and agricultural brands gain more opportunities to reach consumers across Taiwan.

The Agriculture Bureau noted that Taichung Freshest is more than a sales platform. It also aims to become an important digital gateway for consumers to learn about Taichung’s agricultural products. By tapping into holiday gift demand, the campaign brings together specialty agricultural products from across Taichung, so when consumers think of quality Taichung gifts, they can shop for them all at once on Taichung Freshest. This further raises brand recognition and market visibility for Taichung’s agricultural products.
During the campaign, the Taichung Freshest e-commerce platform is also offering Mid-Autumn spending discounts. A single purchase of NT$1,500 or more receives NT$250 off. For bulk gifting by businesses and organizations, purchases of NT$10,000 or more receive NT$2,000 off, helping groups choose suitable Taichung specialty gift boxes based on their budgets and gifting needs.

In addition to the online shopping section, starting August 28, the campaign will connect nine partner retail locations in Taichung to set up “Taichung Freshest Mid-Autumn Gifts” physical themed sections. Through product displays, on-site shopping, and digital shopping guides, visitors can get to know Taichung’s quality products in person, then scan the QR Codes on site to enter the Taichung Freshest e-commerce platform and browse more Mid-Autumn selections. This creates an integrated marketing model combining “online shopping × in-person experience × digital guidance”. The nine partner locations include the Wu-Feng District Farmers’ Association Shopping Center, Taiwan Agricultural and Fisheries Museum, Chingshui District Farmers’ Association and Leisure Tourism Park, Houli District Farmers’ Association, Da’an District Farmers’ Association annofood, Daliyi Agricultural and Fishery Products Life Store, Heping District Farmers’ Association, and the Wu-Feng Farmer's Association Distillery Direct Sales Station. During the campaign, shoppers who spend NT$688 or more in a single purchase on designated items at the physical themed sections will receive one Taichung quality pear, while supplies last.

The Agriculture Bureau said it hopes the “Taichung Freshest Mid-Autumn Gifts” campaign will bring together specialty products from different production areas and help Taichung’s quality goods move from their places of origin onto more Mid-Autumn gift lists for households and businesses. Through the e-commerce platform, consumers can shop beyond geographic limits and buy Taichung specialty agricultural gifts in one stop. Combined with displays and shopping guides at physical locations, the campaign also gives people more chances to encounter, understand, and purchase Taichung agricultural products. This Mid-Autumn Festival, why not turn gift giving into a journey through Taichung’s local flavors? From the mountain area to the coast, and from fresh fruit grown at the source to specialty processed products, every gift box carries Taichung’s agricultural character and the care of its producers. Consumers across Taiwan are invited to visit the Taichung Freshest Mid-Autumn section and share the best of Taichung with the people who matter most.
