In order to cultivate the music industry and encourage local independent music artists, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government has been organizing the Taichung Rock Festival since 2008. This was the 3rd anniversary of the Taichung Rock Festival. Hopefully, it will be the only and yet largest rock festival. Many local and international heavy weighted rock bands lined up to join the show on September 4th and 5th in Fulfillment Amphitheater. Rock ‘n’ Roll fans, let’s rock in Taichung.

Last year, Taichung Rock Festival attracted 65,000 audiences to join the show in Fulfillment Amphitheater. This year, the show attracted a larger audience. The bands of the festival included Celuloid, 88 Guava Seedz, MOJO, Young Nurses, The Coach, Children Sucker, Fen Fens, Miss Stocking and other bands from Japan, Scotland, the U.S.A., Korea and Australia. They will definitely rock your heart. According to the estimation of the organizer, over 1000 people from 100 bands, which include Good 4 Nothing, Mix Market, Start of the Day (from Japan) and Story Seller (from Korea) attracted an audience of more than 100,000 people to visit Taichung to watch the show. The audience size was close to that of Fuji Rock, which was one of the top 3 rock festivals in the world.

The organizers arranged 4 major stages, and created and designed market places, rock ‘n’ roll experience space and food stands to serve and entertain the audience. The show began at 2:30 pm and ended at 10 pm on September 4th and 5th, bringing the most exciting and wild rock ‘n’ roll music to you. The admission to the shows was free.
