Requirements for buying public housing

According to Article 4 of Regulations for Sale and Lease of Public Housing Units and Commercial Services Facilities and Other Buildings, a person who wishes to purchase or rent a public housing unit should meet the following conditions:
1. He / She is 20 years old or over and has registered his/her household in the local.
2. He / She has domiciled in the same household with his/her immediate family members or he / she has a spouse.
3. He / She, his/her spouse, and the immediate family members and their spouses living in the same household all do not have own house.
4. He / She comes from a low-income family in line with the standards promulgated by the Executive Yuan.
People whose parents have died and who have to take care of siblings aged under twenty or aged over twenty but in school, in disability, or without the capacity to make a living and without a self-owned house are not subject to the restrictions of condition 2 above. If you already have a house, you may be entitled to buy a public housing unit but you can not get loans on the public housing unit.
