In view those owners of expropriated land or property may not be able to pick up their compensation at one time, the Taichung City Government decides to offer money remittance service to them, so that they will not go back and forth through the procedures for several times.
The only thing that a land or property owner needs to do is to give a photocopy of his/her passbook of the financial institution to which the compensation payments will be wired or remitted and to fill out a proxy statement with signature. Then, the Land Administration Bureau will take care of the rest by notifying the bank to remit the money and informing the applicant by an official letter and an SMS if he/she has also given his/her mobile phone number.
