From October 12 to November 10, the Taichung City Tun District Art Center will hold an AR interactive experience exhibition titled “Into the Fairy Tale—The Elephant King’s Exhibition of Photography” in the Aesthetic Space on the first floor. The exhibition, organized by Telling Tent, a contracted team of the Center, starts with the character “Elephant King” from the animation Red Nose’s Adventure. Featuring AR displays with illustrated designs, as well as AR experiences and static gameplay that reflect Elephant King’s dream of becoming a photographer, this event invites visitors of all ages to capture magical moments using their phones. The “Into the Fairytale - The Elephant King’s Exhibition of Photography” AR interactive experience exhibition combines the unique imagery of the Tun District Art Center with a joyful opening tea party at its core, presenting a cute version of the Center. The “Coloring Zone” on-site creates an immersive, educational, and entertaining experience for families in Taichung, offering quality bonding time for parents and children.
Telling Tent is dedicated to creating tech-driven, interactive experiences for families, developing ten original animations to deepen its connection with them, and aiming to bring new, entertaining, and immersive experiences to families around Taiwan. In addition, Telling Tent will also present the “Seagull Oh My Party—Miss Seagull’s Story and Painting Interactive Party” at the Tun District Art Center's B1 Art Shared Space on October 12-13 and October 25-26. Blending Tun District’s local imagery, the event features the popular character “Miss Seagull” as the storyteller, inviting visitors to a joyful storytelling party with art creation and AR. On October 25, with support from Chiu Ting Machinery Co., Ltd., rural and local students are invited to the Tun District Art Center for a profound experience, connecting the center with brands, businesses, and communities to create socially responsible, culturally inclusive art environments.
This year, the Tun District Art Center is collaborating with the contracted team Telling Tent to introduce a family-friendly experience that combines technology with art, aspiring to become a vital hub where these fields converge. Running from October through November, the “Technology and Art Experimental Field—Art Roaming Together” series of events will feature the street roaming project “Niaorongtou Journal” by Telling Tent, “Kepler’s N ≒ Illusion Dependence Law” by The Loose Moose Theatre, and a talk by Wang Lien-Sheng on “Creation in the Age of Technology.” For more information, check out the Center's official website (https://www.ttdac.taichung.gov.tw) or Facebook page.
