The Taichung City Huludun Cultural Center, formerly known as the Taichung County Cultural Center, has been committed to supporting outstanding artistic talents in Taichung and fostering artistic research and creation. To preserve and promote art, the center initiated the Taichung County Artist Relay Exhibition in 1988. This event, which uses a selection and judging process to invigorate the art scene, is one of the most established and influential art exhibitions in Central Taiwan. After the merger of Taichung County and Taichung City in 2011, the exhibition was expanded and renamed the Taichung Artists Relay Exhibition . It has continued to be held to this day, providing a platform for artists in the Greater Taichung area to showcase their creativity and promote the city's artistic heritage.
