The Taichung City Tun District Art Center is dedicated to performing arts, art exhibitions, and cultural promotion, offering a place for people to connect with art and culture. Since 2017, it has organized the Parent-Child Art Festival, a special event for children that invites parents to immerse their kids in the wonders and joy of art.
Tailored to the features of the center's venues, the Parent-Child Art Festival offers a variety of performances in different scales and styles. Participants can explore all the center's performance spaces, including a 1,150-seat auditorium, a versatile experimental theatre known as Black Box Theater, and an amphitheater that can accommodate over 3,000 people. The festival showcases a wide range of performance teams, featuring top-quality groups in drama, music, dance, circus, and technology. The performances are vibrant, engaging, and fun, capturing the interest of both kids and adults while providing educational value, enabling young viewers to learn and enjoy the shows.
Started in 2017, this festival has grown into one of Taichung's most popular summer parent-child art and cultural events, drawing over ten thousand participants. Spanning nearly a month, it includes dozens of performances, encouraging local excellent art and cultural groups to take part and offering families in Taichung a wonderful place to spend time together.
