To make arts and cultural events more approachable and integrated into the local community, the Dadun Cultural Center hosts a monthly “Dadun Masters Lecture.” This lecture series features prominent experts and renowned educators from fields such as culture, arts, literature, finance, and health, offering citizens opportunities for in-person interactions with leading figures.
In January 2025, celebrated author Wu Jo-chuan will share his reflections on integrating the Diamond Sutra into daily life. Drawing on personal stories and key passages from the scripture, he will explore how these teachings can serve as a foundation for unraveling the profound wisdom of Buddha. In February, Lai Hsien-cheng, a writer in Taiwanese proverbs, will delve into the timeless insights of our ancestors captured in these traditional sayings. With their rhythmic charm and practical truths spanning topics like life, society, finances, and family well-being, these proverbs provide a chance to reconnect with the rich heritage of Taiwanese wisdom. In March, Sun Tsui-feng, a national treasure and the leading performer of the Ming Hwa Yuan Culture & Arts Group, will recount her half-lifetime journey. Starting at age 26, she has dedicated 40 years to Taiwanese opera. Throughout her career, she has embraced every role equally, letting life’s trials shape her balance of resilience and grace. On stage, she is an unbeatable performer; off stage, a courageous woman moving boldly against the wind.
Launched in 2019, the Dadun Masters Lecture series invites distinguished figures from various fields to deliver lectures, offering attendees the opportunity to experience the wisdom and charisma of these masters. The engaging and diverse content not only enriches personal growth but also broadens the audience's perspectives.
