The Taichung Artists Relay Exhibition presents its first major event of the year, "Multihued White - Chung Li-Hsiang Art Exhibition," which will be on display at the Huludun Cultural Center until April 13. Chung Li-Hsiang's  creative style is inspired by her devout Christian faith. Emerging from a challenging period in her life through her Christian faith, Chung Li-Hsiang employs a white palette illuminated by the light of the Holy Spirit to portray elegant, lush green plants and flowers. She celebrates the Creator's natural wonders and the grace of life's beauty, conveying a sense of peace, calm, and warm emotional energy that has been refined through her experiences of hardship.

The Huludun Cultural Center highlights that Chung Li-Hsiang excels in combining ink and gouache techniques, utilizing a variety of materials such as paper, silk, linen, and wood panels to showcase a unique artistic expression of pure white beauty. She has received multiple awards in competitions and has been selected for the Artists Relay Exhibition. She found strength in her Christian faith, which empowered her to transform her thoughts and emotions. She states, "The peace I feel comes from my Christian faith. With my brush, I capture the most beautiful moments of plant growth, which nourish and calm the body and mind. Even in darkness, by relying on faith to  express oneself, one can discover the starlight that illuminates the soul, just like the white flowers blooming amidst the dark green foliage in my works, making life shine brighter."

Her floral creations, including "Endless Life," "The Sound of Silence," "Gentle Pink," and "Translucent White," feature delicate, vibrant leaves that beautifully complement the profusion of blooming white flowers. This combination creates a visual experience characterized by simplicity, purity, and tranquility, embodying the transformation of her life experiences and faith. Recent works, such as the "White Ribbon" series, "Flourishing Flowers," and  "Vastness" depict bouquets that appear slightly tipsy and shrouded in morning mist, showcasing rich, vibrant colors that convey a warm and abundant life force. These pieces reflect a state of existence that is now open, comfortable, and confidently beautiful, following a long period of profound and nuanced experiences.

Chung Li-Hsiang's creations are an intimate blend of life, faith and art, conveying the resilience and beauty of life through the purity of white. Her works are like reflections of the soul, allowing viewers to feel the serenity and warmth after trials and tribulations, and inspiring us to reflect on the meaning and value of life. This exhibition will provide a comprehensive overview of Chung's recent gouache pieces.
