“2026 Taichung FOCASA Jimmy Circus Park” will be grandly held at Wenxin Forest Park from February 19, 2026 (the third day of the Lunar New Year) to February 21, 2026 (the fifth day of the Lunar New Year), and from February 27, 2026 (Friday) to March 1, 2026 (Sunday), for a total of six days. Daily event hours are 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with free admission every day, inviting everyone to step into a fantastical circus journey together.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government noted that this event is produced under an official license from Taiwan’s original IP, Jimmy Liao, with choreographer Lin Hwai-min providing artistic direction, and planned and executed by FOCASA Circus, showcasing a high level of integration between Taiwan’s performing arts and cultural and creative industries to create an international-caliber, city-scale festival event. The most anticipated highlight is the daily limited two-session program inside the circus tent, with each performance running for approximately 40 minutes: during the Lunar New Year period, FOCASA Circus will present “Circus Adventurers,” while during the 228 Peace Memorial Day long weekend, Mimofatguy will present “Amour Utopique”, accompanying audiences into a world of imagination and adventure through contemporary circus works in different styles.
The Taichung City Government Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that during the event, Wenxin Forest Park will also feature six pop-up circus performances each day, with one performance every hour from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., presented at random by three performers: Happy Curly with “Courage”, XiaoGang with “The Way of Martial Arts”, and Xia Ke with “Dancing with the Frame”. The audience can sit on the grass and enjoy the show at ease, experiencing the charm of circus arts up close. In addition to the scheduled performances, the stilt-walking pop-up “Dream-Seeking Giants” will also appear randomly among visitors for high fives and interaction, adding a sense of movement and surprise to the circus park, and will periodically hand out red noses symbolizing good luck, creating unforgettable memories for children.
In addition, the venue features a family-friendly Circus Adventure Experience Zone and multiple Jimmy Liao-themed installations for photo check-ins. Visitors who complete the check-in and fill out a questionnaire can also enjoy a free experience of the “Spin-for-Good-Luck Carousel”, and families are strongly encouraged not to miss it. The Joyful Market brings together more than 40 stalls offering cultural and creative products, sweet and savory snacks, and beverages, so visitors of all ages can find their own moments of fun in the park.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government stated that, with two consecutive holiday periods in February, the Jimmy Circus Park is not only an ideal destination for Lunar New Year outings, but also the best spot for family trips and photo check-ins. The public is welcome to make the most of the long weekends by visiting Wen-Xin Forest Park to experience a Lunar New Year atmosphere where art and joy intertwine.
